Whether you just want to deepen your own practice and understanding of yoga or become a strong, marketable yoga teacher, this program is for you. Join Boston legends David Vendetti and Todd Skoglund in this immersive experience into a modern, evolving yoga practice. David and Todd have built upon over twenty years experience training the Boston community to create the newest incarnation of this institutional 200 hour training.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Up to 10 days before the training begins students are entitled to a full refund minus $125 administrative fee. Within 10 days of the start of the program, refunds are only permitted at the discretion of the ownership of South Boston Yoga Center. These policies are in addition to the general policies of the studio as posted on the website and on premises.

David Vendetti

David draws on over 20 years experience of teaching and over 10 years of training new teachers and anatomy workshops. His background in dance and therapeutic bodywork as well as anatomy trainings gives him a deep understanding of the physical practice of yoga, while his long-time involvement with the Boston yoga community gives him a sepcial insight into the evolving landscape of being a successful yoga teacher in New England. David is a natural community builder and always goes above and beyond in training new students and teachers from his deep love of this practice. David founded South Boston Yoga and the South Boston Yoga Teacher Training in 2007 with co-director Todd Skoglund.

Todd's initial experience in Yoga began as an undergraduate majoring in Eastern Philosophy and Religious studies. Always a very physical person, he moved from martial arts and traditional physical training to the practice of ashtanga yoga in 2001. Since that time Todd has studied various movement practices including extensive training with Ana Forrest, Cameron Shane, Shandor Remete, Glenn Black and many others. He continues to follow and participate in the evolving "movement culture" and brings his depth of personal practice to his teaching and trainings. Todd co-founded South Boston Yoga and the South Boston Yoga Teacher Training in 2007 with David Vendetti.

 

 


The South Boston Yoga 300hr Advanced Teacher Training (500RYT)

Expand upon your 200 Hour training knowledge and teaching experience with this amazing in-depth program. Go further with your anatomy knowledge, research common injuries and their preventions, explore deeper into meditation techniques and philosophy, find your true teachers voice, get constructive feedback on your teaching and sequencing from senior teachers and your peers, and much more!

Guest teachers in the training include Kate Graham with her signature Therapeutics Yoga and Raquel Marra with advanced asana and sequencing work.

This training is 300 hour Yoga Alliance certified and in addition to enabling 200hr certified teachers to apply for their 500hr certification, it also fulfills the new Yoga Alliance requirements for teachers leading teacher trainings to be 500 hour certified by 2020.

The training format is broken into 15 weekend modules from February 29th, 2020 - Sept 20th, 2020. The specific dates are:

Weekend Hours: Sat 11am-7pm, Sun 9am-6:30pm

There will be readings and other assignments during the weeks between scheduled meetings.

Certification through the 300 hour program may combine with a completed, registered 200 hour program to register with Yoga Alliance at the 500 Hour level.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Please be aware that $500 deposit guarantees a space in the full course. $180 of which is non-refundable before the beginning of the course (unless your application is not accepted, in which case 100% of the deposit is refunded), 100% is non-refundable as of the course start date of February 29th, 2020. The remainder of the tuition is due on the first day of the course or by graduation when a payment plan is pre-arranged. Additional fees apply to payment plans. Graduation from the course is dependent upon paying in full for the tuition and deposit, as well as satisfactory participation in all hours of the training as well as performance in final tests and presentations. Certification is dependent upon the individual registering with Yoga Alliance.
