Course Description

Whether you're interested in becoming a yoga teacher or just wanting to dive deeper into your own practice and experience of yoga, the South Boston Yoga Teacher Training is a great choice for a fun and intelligent exploration of a modern yoga practice.

This compassionate and intensive training will give you the insight, experience and confidence to teach a safe, stable and powerful class to any level of student. We will delve into the evolution of modern yoga incorporating anatomy, smart sequencing, fitness and nutrition along with classical examination of the sutras, meditation, breathwork (pranayama) and basic yoga philosophy. Each day also incorporates a teaching exercise with feedback to build up your comfort and experience talking through a yoga sequence.

In addition, we will examine readings, TED talks, and other material to help develop greater self-awareness of our interpersonal interactions and develop more compassion for ourselves and others in our lives. The key to being a good teacher or leader isn't just knowledge of the material, which we cover in depth, but also how to interact and convey this information in an accessible way.

With nearly all 200hrs in-class contact with the main instructors hours plus classes, readings, and practice teaching the public community class, you will be well prepared to teach multiple levels of students on graduation.

This course is certified with Yoga Alliance for 200hr RYT.
